Beema Honey's Indonesian Artisan Honeycomb is a raw, premium honeycomb from Apis mellifera (European honey bees), sustainably harvested in a pesticide-free, chemical-free and pollution-free environment in Indonesia. A single cell of honeycomb is filled with the concentrated nectar of thousands of flowers, making it the healthiest and most raw form of honey available, a delicacy of nature straight from the source. The bees collect nectar from multiflora, assorted wild flora, and the honey stays exceptionally fresh, still stored in the hive and naturally sealed by beeswax. This is authentic, 100% edible honeycomb, not artificial, and our bees are never fed sugar or syrup.
TASTE:
Sweet and floral, with the rounded complexity of raw multiflora honey, and a delicate natural waxiness from the honeycomb itself.
USAGE:
Cut to your preferred size, or portion with a spoon, then chew and suck the honey until the comb is dry or waxy. The beeswax is safe to eat but indigestible, so avoid eating too much; you can also chew until the honey is gone and then spit out the wax. Pairs well with cheese and fruits, cured meats, salads, dried sausages, spread onto toasted bread, and desserts.
